smilz Posted October 30, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 30, 2014 We are sailing on Dec 6 on Getaway. Just got an email today from NCL saying they had to cancel our reservation for Wine Lovers due to a "scheduling conflict" It states that we can choose a different venue or a different time. I logged in and now I don't see it anywhere. Has it been canceled?

cruisin07family Posted October 31, 2014 #6 Share Posted October 31, 2014 Not even get drunk good? That bad? This is as subjective as the dining reviews. We thoroughly enjoyed Wine Lover's and had a nice buzz at the end of the show. It is 5 glasses of wine. Apparently, if you drink your wine ahead of the show, they will refill your glasses so you can participate during the show. The scheduling conflict may just be a time change for the show. We booked a 9pm Cirque dinner and got notice that it was canceled because the show time changed to 8:30. On board, they had just rescheduled our showtimes to the 8:30 show. I totally agree - entertainment is just as subjective as food. Just so the OP doesn't think a positive opinion is a rare exception to the rule, I too enjoyed the show. I found it funny, engaging and even informative. The meal and wine were good, too.
LTC loves to cruise Posted October 31, 2014 #9 Share Posted October 31, 2014 I was on the Getaway two weeks ago and enjoyed this musical. The food and the wine was very good. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Coastalbreezes Posted October 31, 2014 #10 Share Posted October 31, 2014 I thoroughly enjoyed the show on Breakaway in May. The food was good, wines were okay and the show itself was entertaining. It was something new and different and I'm glad I went. Tracy
maywell Posted October 31, 2014 #11 Share Posted October 31, 2014 (edited) I was just wondering because if 5-6 glasses of wine doesn't numb one from a so-so or a bad show - nothing will...One of those came for the wine / booze and a show kinda of happen things. retiring soon Posted October 31, 2014 #13 Share Posted October 31, 2014 HI all! I went to Wine Lovers on the Getaway in May & really liked it even though I'm not a wine drinker. I figured I like to eat & like shows so why not try it. I'm glad I did but it's a one time only thing for me. Different strokes, eh?;) ~ Jo ~ :)
dolphin lady Posted October 31, 2014 #14 Share Posted October 31, 2014 I'll be on the BA in Feb and was wondering what the cost is for the wine show?
happy cruzin Posted October 31, 2014 #15 Share Posted October 31, 2014 I'll be on the BA in Feb and was wondering what the cost is for the wine show? The Getaway had it listed for $25.00/pp - and it was a lunch show. Sent from my iPad using Forums
wurm914 Posted October 31, 2014 #16 Share Posted October 31, 2014 I saw Wine Lovers, the Musical on land and loved it - lots of fun especially with friends. I would go again too, so if it's still on the schedule on the Getaway - I'm in! deb:D
rentlady Posted November 1, 2014 #17 Share Posted November 1, 2014 Not knowing much about wine, we got a crash course. Loved the show and lunch. Saw it on the Oct 18th sailing , cost was $25. :)
NYCruiseGal1982 Posted November 13, 2014 #18 Share Posted November 13, 2014 I'm on that Getaway cruise too and called and they said that the show will be playing that week, so the tickets will be going back online! I saw the show on the Pearl a few years ago and loved it - it was very funny, the leading actor came out into the audience a lot and our whole group had a great time. I'm excited to have the lunch with the show and see this different version.
