Rare RCLcruiser2012 Posted November 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 5, 2014 A) Do bumper cars cost? B) Does it cost to go on North Star? How long are the lines? Is it very selective of the times available like most activities on board. THANK YOU!
eclipse689 Posted November 5, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 5, 2014 They have indicated that there will be no additional cost for North Star and Bumper Cars. I'm not sure about scheduling.
Rare RCLcruiser2012 Posted November 5, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted November 5, 2014 Thank you for the response! I know there was a cost for iFly after the first minute (which is a ridiculous amount in my opinion) so I was curious. :):)
eclipse689 Posted November 5, 2014 #4 Share Posted November 5, 2014 There's been a lot of conflicting information on iFly but I definitely agree that charging after 1 min would be a bit much. Here's a post from the live blog on Quatum's maiden voyage this week that indicates there aren't any charges - I'm hoping this is the actual way it's happening :)
akcruz Posted November 5, 2014 #5 Share Posted November 5, 2014 Just to clarify, the iFly experience is an hour of your time which includes 1 minute of actual flight time. Supposedly that minute is more than enough to satisfy most. Supposedly you will be able to pre-book both iFly and North Star. On our reservation iFly is on the planner, but when you try to book it doesn't work. Have not seen North Star yet.
kato92 Posted November 6, 2014 #6 Share Posted November 6, 2014 North Star should be 15 minutes
QuantumCruiserAu Posted November 9, 2014 #7 Share Posted November 9, 2014 i get 1 minute on the ifly with an 11 day cruise - how crap is that what am i going to do for the other 15830 minutes of my cruise?
ChipLondon Posted November 9, 2014 #8 Share Posted November 9, 2014 ifly is quite strenuous on the body and a 1 min flight is enough for most, many people want to do it but with the training it takes time. I think the intention is to introduce charges for second flights. The North Star queue is long and can be an hour and a half wait, I hope they introduce a time slot system. podgeandrodge Posted November 9, 2014 #10 Share Posted November 9, 2014 (edited) Yes, I met a passenger this morning who told me he was refused. He didn't seem that big to me but obviously didn't pass a weight test. Edited November 9, 2014 by podgeandrodge
