I will be booking allure for 2016. I have only been considering connecting inside cabins or a family suite but I can't get prices for 5 in a cabin on the RC website.

What are my other options for a family of 5? Are there any?

To book a family suite, you'll need to call Royal or talk to a travel agent. We had a Royal Family Suite on Indy and loved it! Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a sitting room, plus a huge balcony, we had plenty of space for our party of six.

Some of the ocean view family rooms at the front of the ship are considerably bigger than the others due to their location and layout. We had originally booked room 11128, but had to change rooms because our 5th person couldn't go. 11528 on the other side is also a bigger room. There is only one bathroom, but it may be an option to look into. Good Luck.

We have 6 traveling in our party, Wife and I, 3 daughters and 1 BF. We book one balcony and one inside directly across the hall from each other. You need to use a TA or call RCI. Unable to do anything through website.

Connecting cabins are the best bet...parents can have a bit of privacy, kids have their own space for their messes....it's a win/win.

I agree that's what we used to do when our 3 kids traveled with us, I could check in on them and go back and forth easily to share or borrow stuff but could also close the door for some privacy!
