michtrif Posted November 7, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 7, 2014 I will be booking allure for 2016. I have only been considering connecting inside cabins or a family suite but I can't get prices for 5 in a cabin on the RC website. What are my other options for a family of 5? Are there any? Ken at the beach Posted November 7, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 7, 2014 If you want all 5 to be in the same room you need to call RCI or have your TA call as they are not available to book on line. Depending on ages I would look at 2 connecting cabins.. More space and 2 bathrooms.
BearsAhoy Posted November 7, 2014 #3 Share Posted November 7, 2014 To book a family suite, you'll need to call Royal or talk to a travel agent. We had a Royal Family Suite on Indy and loved it! Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a sitting room, plus a huge balcony, we had plenty of space for our party of six.
Maybaybie10 Posted November 7, 2014 #4 Share Posted November 7, 2014 Some of the ocean view family rooms at the front of the ship are considerably bigger than the others due to their location and layout. We had originally booked room 11128, but had to change rooms because our 5th person couldn't go. 11528 on the other side is also a bigger room. There is only one bathroom, but it may be an option to look into. Good Luck.
cb at sea Posted November 7, 2014 #5 Share Posted November 7, 2014 Connecting cabins are the best bet...parents can have a bit of privacy, kids have their own space for their messes....it's a win/win.
medicmel Posted November 7, 2014 #6 Share Posted November 7, 2014 We have 6 traveling in our party, Wife and I, 3 daughters and 1 BF. We book one balcony and one inside directly across the hall from each other. You need to use a TA or call RCI. Unable to do anything through website. I agree that's what we used to do when our 3 kids traveled with us, I could check in on them and go back and forth easily to share or borrow stuff but could also close the door for some privacy! gtgeorge Posted November 7, 2014 #8 Share Posted November 7, 2014 We are also family of 5 and when we booked Allure we ask for a family stateroom strangely it was more expensive than 2 connecting rooms so we booked 2.
