ace1zoe2 Posted November 22, 2014 Author #186 Share Posted November 22, 2014 Somethings wonky with Cruise Critic posting the last few minutes. I posted several posts that uploaded but now don't show on the thread. I am reposting so if they are duplicates sorry.

ace1zoe2 Posted November 22, 2014 Author #188 Share Posted November 22, 2014 I guess the next thing I will post are pictures from Serenade of the Seas. These were taken at different times throughout the cruise. Some are decent and some the lighting is bad but it will give you an idea of the public areas of the ships, some of the clubs, dining spaces, etc. First up is the Solarium which is the ADULTS only area of the ship for ages 16 and over. Occasionally in colder climates (Alaska & Northern Europe) they will open it up to families for a few hours each day. The Solarium Bar is located one side of the ship and then there is the Solarium Cafe on the opposite side that anyone can come to for meals. There are padded lounges facing the sea as well as more located near the pool. The pool and hot tub area are all covered. This is good mostly quiet place to read or sleep... ace1zoe2 Posted November 22, 2014 Author #189 Share Posted November 22, 2014 A couple shots of the gym. This was my only visit to the gym. I didn't even pack my tennis shoes or gym clothes this time because I knew there would be no time to work out. No problem finding deck chairs on this cruise! Julia’s Journey’s Posted November 22, 2014 #190 Share Posted November 22, 2014 it's so nice to rent apartments when there is a group, we did that in Venice when there were 7 of us, much nicer than 3 hotel rooms ;) Could you post where you stayed in Venice and any good or bad about it? We stayed at grifone apartments in cannaregio as I wanted another area of Venice that trip as we had previously stayed in the Santa Croce area and the San Marco areas. They have a couple of different apartments and it worked well for us that trip. Sorry I took so long to post the info my DS was in the hospital ns just got home yesterday. Let me know if you need further info ;)
ace1zoe2 Posted November 22, 2014 Author #191 Share Posted November 22, 2014 Sorry, these are in no kind of order. Just however I am coming to them in Photobucket. These are in the Arcade. It is open to kids of all ages, including grown adults who act like kids, or at least enjoy arcade games. Word of warning, make sure you set limits on your kids Set Sail Pass or you could end up owing hundreds of dollars for arcade games. There are also free activities on deck such as shuffleboard, ping pong and more. I think I remember this outdoor seating area outside of or below Izumi. ace1zoe2 Posted November 22, 2014 Author #193 Share Posted November 22, 2014 (edited) Mini Golf: Rock Climbing Wall: Sports Deck: The Vortex (formerly known as the Vicking Crown Lounge) is open during the day unless there is a special event going on. In the evenings it is used as overflow for the Diamond Lounge until 8:30. Later in the evening there is usually live music or a DJ for dancing. This is where we had the Meet & Mingle on the sea day. It's a quiet place to read or sit and watch the ocean during the day. Edited November 22, 2014 by ace1zoe2
ace1zoe2 Posted November 22, 2014 Author #194 Share Posted November 22, 2014 Vortex: These are on deck 6 around the Schooner Bar. This is where the self-leveling pool tables are located. We never had the chance to play this time but have done so on Brilliance on our Canadian cruise. It is quite entertaining. (Excuse these next few pictures due to the lighting and I think I my camera on the wrong setting) The Safari Club and Bar is where Bingo was held as well as other activities: Entrance to the Schooner Bar:

ace1zoe2 Posted November 22, 2014 Author #196 Share Posted November 22, 2014 Crown & Castle Pub is an English pub. Evening trivia is held here and they also have live acoustical performers play each night. The TVs are on and the sports games are playing. It is loud and lively and we enjoyed a few adult beverages here on several occasions. There is a small Cinema onboard. It is located outside of the Casino and played movies each day... the movies were all old and nothing that I wanted to waste 2 hours of my vacation to see. Portofino's is also located on deck 6 near the Schooner bar. The Schooner Bar is the daytime trivia site. There is a set up for video games here also that we occasionally saw people playing. The Loyalty and Future Cruise Sales offices are located in the same area of the ship as well as the Chop's and Portofino specialty restaurants. ace1zoe2 Posted November 22, 2014 Author #197 Share Posted November 22, 2014 On the back of the Ship outside of the Windjammer is some great outdoor seating that hardly anyone realizes is there. It's a great place to get a breeze, the smell of the ocean, watch the wake and the space is covered from the sun. Chop's Grill: The "R" bar is in the main centrum lobby and is always a happening place. This is closest bar to the dining room if you want to bring a drink to dinner: The Tropical Theater is where the evening's Production Shows are held. Our cabin was located on the 10th deck on the top left hand side. You can see here how much larger the balcony is. Decks 7, 8, 9 & 10 all have aft balconies. Above deck 10 is the outdoor seating for the Windjammer.
ace1zoe2 Posted November 22, 2014 Author #198 Share Posted November 22, 2014 Ok, that was my entire Saturday pretty much spent doing a marathon of posting pictures! That's it for today. I just realized I didn't take very many pictures of the ship... no dining room shots, nothing in the Windjammer, no real pics in the Theater, none of the kid's areas and none of game room. I guess I was just too busy during the day taking pictures of all the fabulous places we were seeing that when we returned to the ship I dropped the camera in the room & just enjoyed the evening with dinner and friends. For those of you still following along, I hope that you enjoy what pictures of the ship that there are. Up tomorrow (hopefully) will be our first port day. We stopped in Livorno (Florence/Pisa) but we did a DIY trip to Cinque Terre and I have lots of great pictures to delight you with :) Until then, Cindy
icat2000 Posted November 23, 2014 #199 Share Posted November 23, 2014 Probably one of the best reviews I have read so far. You have put a lot of information into your review giving people some ideas and tips when doing their planning. Keep up the great work.
Dreamer115 Posted November 23, 2014 #200 Share Posted November 23, 2014 You have done an amazing job so far, I can imagine how much fun it must have been. I must say I liked your keyhole picture, not what was expected but still a very interesting shot. I have one question, is the Vortex open to all people during the day or just diamond or ??
