St Kitts vs. Labadee Haiti

We are considering a Celebrity Christmas cruise to San Juan, St Maarten and St Kitts (Silhouette) vs. a RCI cruise to Labadee Haiti, San Juan, St Maarten.

 

Lots of pros and cons but for excursions the only difference is St Kitts vs. Labadee (RCI private beach)

 

Any input on St Kitts? Labadee?

 

Snorkeling a priority.

 

Welcome any thoughts on the ports of call as well as the ships in general. We have teenagers 15, 15, 13 and an 11 year old. Good stops and snorkeling high on the list.

There is lots of snorkeling near St. Kitts and a great snorkel safari offered from Labadee. It's the same sea, so the fish and plants will be the same from location to location.

Labadee is RCI's private beach...any and all things there must go through the ship...you cannot leave the "private" area, as Haiti isn't the best place to be. However, the beach is lovely and safe.

 

St. Kitts is a country...you can explore and pretty much do what you want there...a guidebook is most helpful!

Personally I prefer St. Kitts over Labadee.

I think it's really a toss-up between these two itineraries. Both places are lovely! You can't go wrong with either one.

 

Labadee is my favorite port in the Caribbean because it's a relaxing beach day with beautiful scenery.

 

I would make my decision based on the ship. Which Celebrity ship vs which RCI ship.
