silvercrikhix Posted November 16, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 16, 2014 Getting ready to pack for Hawaii & POA cruise. I have a gotten the sense by reading these boards that very casual is really all we need. I am thinking shorts/capris, casual tops, swimsuits and sundresses are all that will be needed. Sneakers & sandals. A couple of nicer sundresses & sandals. Hope I am thinking clearly on this. Cruise is rapidly approaching & I am getting the anxiousness affect ;)

kapoho2 Posted November 16, 2014 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2014 Your packing list sounds perfect. Just don't forget some kind of light sweater or jacket. The A/C on the POA works very well ;)
kjcombs89 Posted November 16, 2014 #4 Share Posted November 16, 2014 Yes I was going to suggest a light sweater as well. The ship is chilly especially in the Hollywood Theater' Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Need some cruise help?
greatlakesgirl Posted November 17, 2014 #5 Share Posted November 17, 2014 I'll chime in also and say you'll need a light jacket. The ship can be chilly, but also, there were a few nights that we needed a light jacket/sweater outdoors sitting by the pool. The kids liked to swim in the evenings and use the hot tubs and a couple of nights it was slightly chilly sitting out there with the breeze blowing. Sounds like you are good to go! Hope you have an amazing time!

Giantfan13 Posted November 19, 2014 #7 Share Posted November 19, 2014 Find a blouse, or shirt, with the biggest, most colorful, and brightest flowers you have, pack it up and you'll fit right in. If you don't have one, you will before your cruise ends. :D:D:D:D Cheers Len

Rare mcmomny Posted November 21, 2014 #10 Share Posted November 21, 2014 We packed light weight rain jackets and water type sandals like Keen's, we did a lot of hiking, waterfall sight seeing and we encountered a lot of rain so these were needed for half of our trip. Mind you we went in February but Kauai had 6 inches of rain the days we were there, still beautiful but very wet and muddy! We were really glad we had the Keen's, super easy to rinse off the mud and if we had been wearing sneakers they would have been soaking wet! Wore shorts and tank tops each day in port and wore a sun dress for dinner each night, and yes a light sweater as the ship is cold. Have fun!
