Only if it is before final payment. After the final payment date, you can pay a difference and upgrade if there is something to your liking.

Search the board for this as there have been many discussions on this topic with various answers depending on how you booked, whether or not you are before or after final payment date as well as the various new booking exclusions and such.

 

Wine-O is right in that if it's before final payment you should be able to grab the lower price but need to ensure it's an apples to apples. Sometimes lower rates are associated with residency requirements and/or removal of perks (1,2,3 if you have that). Some rate decreases are also for "new bookings" which many report they've still be able to get.

 

If the rate drop is after final payment it's highly unlikely you'll get the reduced rate but may someone be able to get a better cabin.

 

Ultimately you'll (or your TA if you booked with a TA) need to call Celebrity and ask.

 

I've tried before but all three times it was after final payment date and I was unsuccessful in getting any sort of reduction in cost or improvement in cabin.

What is the sail date? Has final been made?

Also look to see if the new price is for "new bookings only" as that will make a difference as well.
