Excursions at the rccl pier

Once we arrive at the pier for Jewel of the Seas and hand off our luggage, will there be people there offering trips to the fort etc? I don't mean people from rccl, but like locals? Or would it just be best to grab a taxi and go?

I would just grab a cab & go...I don't remember ever seeing any tour guides hanging around at an Embarkation port...it's pretty hectic with passenger's coming & going...

I agree just get a taxi and go check out the forts yourself. Also not sure what time you are getting in but By the time we checked in after our flight it was around 4:00 didn't think it was worth going over to Old San Juan as we were afraid the shops and forts closed at 5:00 but not sure. You may want to check that out first.

I have never seen people at the pier offering tours. Your best bet is to just grab a taxi and head over to Old San Juan on your own.

If you are going to look around Old San Juan ,you can take a cab walk around and there is a free shuttle to the forts or take the cab to the fort and the free shuttle into OSJ then a cab back to the ship.
