Concerns I have about decisions made on Pride.

Each of us has levels of risk we are willing to take.

A few weeks ago Buffalo had the huge snow storm. The Captain (Governor) recommended people stay home and not drive. Many took the safe choice and stayed home. Others felt their 30 years of driving would carry them safely through the storm. I am sure they have done this hundreds of times in the past. This time some of them got stuck and had to be rescued! Because of their choices, others were put at risk to go get them, plus the cars were left blocking roads making it harder to plow the roads post storm. I would take the safe choice and it sounds like you would take the less cautious approach.

This does not mean you are wrong, but the Captain skipped the ports being cautious, and I for on appreciate it.

I think the same thing of hurricanes, if I lived in an area expecting Katrina, I would have been in Wyoming before it hit. Others stayed in the 9th ward because they felt it was safe.

I have been to Belize three times. Once on a cruise and twice on land taking the shuttles to the cays. Even in good weather that port has been one of the worst on tender going to shore and coming back. The shuttles tend to stay inside the reef and I have almost gotten sea sick. When they are good it can be just a 45 minute ride to Ambergis Caye. One time it took us almost two hours with bad seas.
