Rare aubreyc1988 Posted December 16, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 16, 2014 Anyone else hear about the new promo that should be starting tomorrow? Seems to be a pretty good deal Pick 1 of 3 if in Oceanview/Balcony/Minisuite: UBP UDP OBC Pick all 3 if in Haven I was going to do a RCI cruise, but who can beat that offer, definitely going to book my feb cruise with this deal, and maybe an open booking or two! FireEater Posted December 16, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 16, 2014 (edited) I booked a suite almost a year ago for next April. They have gone up 300pp since then. I also have a 300 OBC. Would be a wash for me to try and switch now..plus I could not drink my weight of booze every day to enjoy the unlimited drinks..... fstuff1 Posted December 16, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 16, 2014 (edited) Promo runs from 12/16/2014 to 1/31/2015: applies only to oceanview and above. $200 obc or udp or ubp (suites get $300 if u choose obc) I plan on going on a CAS 'free' cruise in feb (breakaway to Bahamas). I think $200 obc will be the best for me. $90 upgrade from Inside to Oceanview. I get a free drink card for the ship's casino so ubp doesn't mean that much to me. when I was on the gem, they had a dining special: 3 dinners at a specialty restaurant for $60. (I plan to do 2 cagneys and 1 Japanese.) so I will have $140 obc left over. Now the question is can this offer stack with any other offer that might come out later on? Edited December 16, 2014 by fstuff1
triptolemus Posted December 16, 2014 #5 Share Posted December 16, 2014 Won't work for me on a cancel/rebook situation for upcoming Alaska cruise. Prices are currently $1000 pp higher than my current rate which I booked two months ago...wonder why? NCL sure as hell isn't giving away free food and booze. It's all built into the rate, of course. One way or another, pax pays.
warriorking Posted December 16, 2014 #6 Share Posted December 16, 2014 (edited) :confused:My understanding was a Mini suite had the choice of two of the packages, haven and above got all three... Edited December 16, 2014 by warriorking
Rare conandrob240 Posted December 16, 2014 #7 Share Posted December 16, 2014 No, OV and higher gets ONE. Haven gets all THREE. Exception is Europe and Hawaii cruises OV or higher get TWO choice.

Since I am booking after final payment, right now OV are 349pp So for 349pp and free booze, hard to say no to that Was going to do the navigator but if I can get free alcohol on a cruise and pay 349pp for a 7 nite...no brainer... guess we shall see, I am trying to stay away until the deal goes live

Even if you aren't a big drinker, a couple drinks a day over a 7 day cruise adds up...plus, pax 3-8 get soda package free....or the dining package is a great deal too! I just moved to Dallas so my husband and I can drive to the port of houston so we can do last minute. Prices for a Feb cruise we are looking at went down so I plan to book today
LrgPizza Posted December 16, 2014 #16 Share Posted December 16, 2014 It won't work for me on my TA either, because I booked at such a low rate. BUT, I've been watching the rate the past month, and although it is higher than when I booked, it hasn't gone up at all as a result of the start of this promotion. fstuff1 Posted December 16, 2014 #17 Share Posted December 16, 2014 (edited) called up CAS to book my 'free' trip from my land casino and to upgrade to Oceanview. upgrades to OV don't qualify for this offer. :( it's based on the original booking made by my land casino. I think it's BS! /FirstWorldProblem :p Edited December 16, 2014 by fstuff1
fstuff1 Posted December 16, 2014 #18 Share Posted December 16, 2014 (edited) hm.. looked up the pricing for 12-Day Southern Caribbean from New York on the Breakaway. inside: $849 Oceanview: 1029  balcony: 1099 normally, pricing structure is the opposite. OV isn't that much more expensive than inside but balcony is a lot more OV. looks like NCL jacked up prices for OV to make up for this promo? Edited December 16, 2014 by fstuff1
triptolemus Posted December 16, 2014 #19 Share Posted December 16, 2014 Freestyle Choice is live on NCL.com right now. If you're thinking of Alaska, don't bother. It seems zero Alaska vacations have Freestyle Choice offered...

It seems zero Alaska vacations have Freestyle Choice offered... I am seeing freestyle choice offered on the Alaska cruises I've been watching (May 2015). Just go through and do a mock booking, as soon as you pick stateroom type as long as it is OV or above the choice option comes up. Prices didn't increase either :)

According to the fish, the prices for all three categories were lowered yesterday, by $50-$60, and all three categories are at or near all-time lows. I really see no evidence of price-jacking for this cruise.
violettewaits Posted December 16, 2014 #24 Share Posted December 16, 2014 Yes!!! Just called up and re-booked my January 2016 12-day Southern Caribbean sailing with the Unlimited Beverage Package for myself and my hubby. NO ADDITIONAL COST to what we were already paying. That is such a great score for us! It's like getting almost $1300 free...and believe me, if we have the package, we damn well will use it! :D
