Several hours to sightsee in Houston

We are sailing on the Jewel on Jan 17 and looking for options at the end of the cruise.

 

We saw a reasonable car rental pick up in Bayport (cab ride away) and drop off at the Intercontinental Airport.

 

We considered the ship city tour - same fee as a cab ride to the airport but that would get us to the airport around 12:30 and fly out at 7:30.

 

If we rent a car are there sights you would recommend we see within the time we have?

 

Last year we saw Keemah (been there done that) and ate at Ninfas on Navigation (which we would love to do again)

 

Any suggestions would be appreciated

If you like beer at all the St. Arnold's brewery isn't too far off. They are the biggest independent brewery in Texas and make some great beers.
