No, the MDR is not usually open for the general public on embarkation day.

If you like salads then have the "Tutti Salad" for lunch in the MDR on one of your sea days. Great selections to choose from to build your salad. Better selections then what is offered in the Wind Jammer. Enjoy your Cruise.
