We have the choice to either fly into FLL early, arriving at 11 am ish or arriving 7 pm

We would have to leave out house at 2 am for the early flight or around 10 am for the later flight

Do you suggest the early flight and then staying in FLL or take SAS to MIA

Or the later flight, stay at a hotel at FLL airport and head to MIA in the am?

Plus what time do you suggest getting to the port to board

Disney Wonder, February 1st

If you take the early flight , go straight to a hotel in Miami. If the later stay near the airport in FLL and shuttle the next morning.

I would take the early flight to be safe; if your room is not ready when you arrive the hotel can hold your bags while you go out for lunch.

The Holiday Inn POM offers some rooms with a view of the port :D, is close to a drug store for last minute items, and is across the street from Bayside Mall with lots of dining options (although most are chain operations :(). Hampton Inn Mary Brickell is another rpopular hotel with cruisers, with lots of shopping and dining options (many local! :D) plus a free breakfast. Taxi to the port for about $12+tip from most downtown hotels.

I might be in the minority but there is no way in h e double hockey sticks I'd get up at 2 am for a flight. I'd do the later flight. Cheap hotel near fll with free hotel shuttle and then SAS to Mia the next morning.
