TickledBlue Posted January 1, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 1, 2015 Does the Epic change time to match local time in Cozumel? I've seen conflicting information on another thread. For someone who recently cruised on the Epic, did you need to change time for Cozumel? Thanks in advance.
pe4all Posted January 1, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 1, 2015 We had a notice in our cabins the night before to change our clocks and move them to Coz time, and then a notice to change them back the next evening.

autrucheplume Posted January 2, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 2, 2015 Do you all remember how long you were in Central (Cozumel) time? Was it only for a night or 2? Or for most of the cruise? (We will have a 16 month old with us, and she has an early bed time - just wondering what we should plan for!)
puddles99 Posted January 2, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 2, 2015 Do you all remember how long you were in Central (Cozumel) time? Was it only for a night or 2? Or for most of the cruise? (We will have a 16 month old with us, and she has an early bed time - just wondering what we should plan for!) If I recall correctly (and I just checked with DH who remembers the same), when we sailed a few weeks ago, we changed time zones for just one day - changing the night before we docked in Cozumel and changing back the night we left. Hope that helps! Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
Chigirlcruzin Posted January 2, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 2, 2015 I was on the November 30 sailing. They had us change our clocks back an hour on Thrsday night, and back to Eastern time Friday night.
LrgPizza Posted January 2, 2015 #7 Share Posted January 2, 2015 (edited) We were only in central time on the Cozumel port day. We changed our clocks when we went to bed, then spent the day at Cozumel, then changed them back when we went to bed that night. EDIT: I was typing this, then left my computer to do other things, then came back and posted it. Now I see others replied first. Sorry for the duplicate answer! TickledBlue Posted January 2, 2015 Author #8 Share Posted January 2, 2015 Thanks all. It makes sense that they change the ship time only for the day in Cozumel since they are on Central time and all other ports are on Eastern. It's better they do it that way so people aren't confused in port. This helps with planning a third-party shore excursion.
