Rare kazu Posted January 1, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 1, 2015 Leaving in 2 weeks for a cruise on the Noordam. Have looked high and low for info on cabins on the Observation deck. Yes....I have checked halfacts.com Would love to see a photo and also curious regarding noise from the cabanas over my head. Also curious what now takes place in the Oak Room. Smoking allowed? those VB cabins should be similar to other Verandah cabins you have seen on halfacts.com No smoking is permitted in the Oak Room, nor anywhere else inside the ship other than the casino when it is is open and if the person is playing (paying). I wouldn't think the cabanas would be an issue, but I haven't been in these cabins. Hopefully someone who has sees your post and can help.
Sherry H Posted January 1, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted January 1, 2015 I was aware the of cabin details. I was just hoping maybe someone had photos of my "smaller than normal" balconey. Have stayed in VT's on Eurodam and VQ's on NA. I really like the locations. Actually, just answered questions re: VT's on Eurodam on a previous post. Glad to hear "no smoking" in Oak room. Knew no more cigars but happy to hear no cigarettes either. I will send photos on my return.
Krazy Kruizers Posted January 1, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 1, 2015 We were on the Noordam for 21 days in November. The Oak Room was only open for the Bill W meetings and a couple of small private affairs. And even then the door was kept closed. At all other times the door was kept locked. scopewest Posted January 1, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 1, 2015 As for noise from the cabanas, it depends on how occupied they are. We tried a cabana for one day while the ship was in port, and there were the two of us and one other couple up there for nearly the entire day.
