cruisine21 Posted January 13, 2015 #76 Share Posted January 13, 2015 Thanks Marie we are on RCL but I will ring and enquire. How do you add the $ to your account? Sent from my iPad using Forums
aronde Posted January 14, 2015 #77 Share Posted January 14, 2015 Thanks Marie we are on RCL but I will ring and enquire. I will ring also. If I can get dollar for dollar on our upcoming Alaska cruise I'd be very impressed - and amazed that they would actually do it! Would be interested to hear how others get on also. Rare MicCanberra Posted January 14, 2015 #78 Share Posted January 14, 2015 I rang and had no luck, was told my TA had to do it for me. I somehow feel this was wrong, with X it is easy and can be done online.
Lilfrog79 Posted January 14, 2015 #79 Share Posted January 14, 2015 The easiest way I have found is to go and buy some US dollars from a money exchange. That way if the dollar drops you are locked in at what you purchased it at. With the current financial climate, it's predicted the dollar will drop a bit more I would suggest this will save a few dollars here and there. You can pay your bar tab at the end of the cruise in cash at the pursers desk. Also when the cruise line asks if you would like them to convert your bill at the end of the cruise or your credit card/bank, I will generally stick with my bank doing the exchange as I know they tend to have a good exchange rate (Although some banks charge an exchange fee). Save a few dollars here and there, and it might be enough for another cruise! :D
