Upcoming cruise on the Breeze and I have questions

We have an 8B on deck 6 and our kids (13 and 9) are booked in a 4E interior across the hall. Is the door directly across the hall?

 

If we purchase FTTF for our room, will our kids be included or do we have to buy it for their room as well?

 

If we wanted to switch to two connecting cove balconies, does anybody have input as to where we don't want to be because of the galley?

You can go to carnival's website to look at the deck plans. You should be able to see the room numbers and determine how close your rooms are to one another.

 

As for FTTF, you would probably need to purchase a separate one for their cabin. FTTF expedites you through lines and has early boarding. They would be using different lines for security and check-in, and they would be assigned a zone.

 

You would also need FTTF for tender priority.

Our Carnival rep is an idiot to put a 13 and 9 year old in this cabin knowing that we are in a balcony around the corner. I specifically asked for an interior directly across the hall. True, although for some Breeze itineraries, there are no tender ports, so it may not be worth buying if that is one of the main motivators.

Only those middle cabins have their own hall

 

You should buy your kids their own FTTF for getting checked in

 

With suites-- the minors booked into their own cabins can get checked in with the suite passengers....not so for FTTF with regular balcony cabins

Are you 100% sure? Because when you look at the deck plans (not through booking but when doing the virtual ship tour) it looks like the door is in the interior hallway. I really hope you are right. My 9 year old will be very unhappy if he can't get to us without going down two hallways.:confused:

you might "REALLY" consider moving those cabins-- especially the inside. they are too close to the casino bar which a band sets up across the way from that bar and they start playing at 9PM and play into the wee hours of the morning

cove balcony 2360/2391 back thru 2434/2463

 

any cabin after 2434 will be under the dining room which is carpeted but these cabins are very far aft you might get some vibration shuddering

 

2360 forward will be under the dining room which is carpeted

 

or for the same moneyfor your balcony look into 7430/ across from 7428

I just did a scan of your cruise-- the best option is 2395 across from 2393

 

which is the begining of the galley (which will be less noise from where the kids room is located now.

 

 

the other combos-- which is not many --gives your balcony cabin a connecting door to the balcony next door. Since you do not know the neighbors you do not know what kind of noise to expect.

If you get old people you might be listening to the tv at a VERY hugh volumn

No. I don't. I was looking at the deck plans through booking which didn't show the door to the interior. I was also trusting him - which is where I went wrong. I'm on the phone with them now and at first they insisted that both rooms opened to the same hallway. The rep had to stop and look at the deck plan on a different screen to see what I was talking about. They are trying to fix it now.

 

This is a different rep, BTW. I haven't heard from the original rep.

Those cabins are under the galley. They are between the mid and aft elevators and that is under the galley. Whenever someone asks which ones not to get, those are the ones that people say don't get. Some of those can be quiet and others will have a lot of noise. Because of this I wouldn't take a chance, unless you know for sure those cabins are quiet.

 

You would want cabins between the forward and mid elevators. If you booked Early Saver they may not let you downgrade. But they may allow it if you were getting 2 coves.

I think it is a shared responsibility with this cabin. She should have been looking at the deck plan and questioned what she is questioning now. It is not just the rep's fault as she agreed to the cabin. JMO.

Well, If I requested cabins directly across the hall, I would expect when I open my door, I would be looking at the door to my kids' room and not have to walk to the right out of my cabin, make a left and another left to get to their door that doesn't open on my hall. JMO

yes that deck plan is misleading because all the other cabins on the entire deck plan show cabin opening into a hall .

Those cabins are under the galley. They are between the mid and aft elevators and that is under the galley. Whenever someone asks which ones not to get, those are the ones that people say don't get. Well on cruise deck plans dot com I am able to resize the decks. You put your curser over the deck you which to resize and hold down the shift button. When you move the curser forward the deck gets smaller, and when you move it back towards you it gets bigger.

 

I don't know what you mean by cutting the galley in half on that site. When I go there it certainly doesn't cut the galley in half. The galley is between the dining rooms, but the dining rooms are not the galley. Anything aft of the of the mid elevators and before the aft elevators would be under the galley. Just look at deck 3 and you will see that galley is between those banks of elevators. And those cabins are also between those banks of elevators. When we were on the Breeze we had a cove, cabin 2294, which was under the midship dining room and we never heard anything.

 

I would also take cabins on deck 7. In fact it is one of our favorite decks.

serene56, go to Carnival's deck plan and it matches the other deck plans that were referred to. Look closely. The interiors forward and aft of the OP's cabins are as you describe. However, their cabin numbers are in a section that don't match those forward and back.

Love. Match the elevator to elevator not deck by deck. Sometimes you gotta move the one deck up or down and match the elevators with stairs to get it right
