Do they have Blackjack machines on the Emerald or just the table game and what is the minimum?

2-15-15 will be our first time ever on a cruise ship.

Thanks in advance.

Poker machines, but not blackjack. Table minimum is $5 or if it's not going well, sometimes an occasional $3. And other times minimum could be $10. But usually $5.

Enjoy your cruise! You will never have the chance for a "first cruise" again.

We've not found blackjack machines on most cruise ships - not sure why, they'd sure get much more of our money if they had them. The only ones we ever found, quite a few years ago, were very basic - single deal, jacks or better, couldn't split or double down. There are such great blackjack machines in most large casinos, which are almost always occupied, that I'm not sure why the ships haven't added any. Has anyone seen any in the larger/newer megaships?

Haven't ever seen any on cruise ships; on any line. And I've certainly been on enough ships! Someone somewhere thinks that poker machines are the way to go. Which means, someone somewhere needs a tutorial.

Well thanks guys, but that's too bad. I enjoy the BJ machines especially the multiple player machines like the Shufflemaster. I don't understand why even land based casinos have so many poker machines but few or no BJ machines.

Could be they are afraid the dealers lose tips maybe? The dealers get no tips from me if there is a $10 or more minimum because I don't play and they don't get too much of a tip from me if I'm losing:D
