Laylam Posted January 10, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2015 We are 3 points shy of a change in status and about to take a 20 day cruise. I am wondering if we are able to take advantage of any of the extra benefits while on this cruise, or will we have to wait until the cruise after??? Seabourn points are awarded at the completion of each cruise. Therefore the new membership level and benefits will be available on your next cruise. Think about it.....it is like a frequent flyer programme.....do airlines award your change in status as you fly on a qualifying flight to the next level of status? A loyalty programme could not operate on such a basis.

We were pleasantly surprised about this while onboard a RSS cruise a few years back. RSSC's website states the following: "If you have sailed with us before and are already a Seven Seas Society member, your new tier benefits take effect on the first day of the cruise during which you transition from one tier to the next". markham Posted January 10, 2015 #7 Share Posted January 10, 2015 Hardly a reason to cancel and rebook on Regent. Jimmyw9 is stating Seabourn policy and it rolls up towards great benefits such as a free 2 week cruise after 250 days sailed. That's worth earning and getting when it's earned. Happy sailing! On them as soon as you reach the date you get the benefit. Seabourn it's on your following cruise.

We are on a 32 day cruise Auckland to Bali the cruise was sold as a single cruise originally then later it became 2. Auckland to Melbourne Melbourne to Bali before the first segment to Melbourne we will have reached Gold club status I wrote to Seabourn club asking if we would be advanced to the next level. They responded that we would, just alert the club or cruise specialist upon are arrival in Melbourne.
