On our two previous cruises (Oasis) before we left home we made show reservations in advance, since we have never been on this class of ship and I haven't been able to do the same for this coming cruise, is it a first come serve basis?

Yes, first come, first served on Indy.

Only exception is the ice show. You typically need to get tickets for the ice show - but those are not reserved in advance - but picked up onboard. They will post times that you can head to Promenade to pick up tickets for your selected show time.

Just off Indy. If you are diamond and above you can get your ice show tickets early in diamond lounge before general handout on deck 5 . Bob
