TraelorMex Posted January 17, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2015 Just curious..do the ships x-ray passenger bags BEFORE they debark? Our last cruise I saw what appeared to be some crewman setting up and x-ray equipment nite before we docked.
PathfinderEss Posted January 17, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2015 (edited) No I don't think so. They probably were setting up the equipment for x-raying bags being brought on to the ship. Edited January 17, 2015 by PathfinderEss
Rare TiogaCruiser Posted January 17, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 17, 2015 Our bags were xrayd at disembarkation in Buenas Aires. I wasn't sure if customs (?) was looking for anything not allowed or if HAL wanted to make sure none of the lovely plates or silverware were walking off. Rare TiogaCruiser Posted January 17, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 17, 2015 Then again, maybe HAL didn't want anyone packing their room steward.
USN59-79 Posted January 17, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 17, 2015 When on the Prinsendam in Eastern Med in 2013 I noticed that they were X-raying the baggage of the crew members who were departing.
Krazy Kruizers Posted January 17, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 17, 2015 We have seen the crew members luggage being x-rayed when they left the ship. But as far as US ports -- haven't seen passengers have their luggage x-rayed. In Europe we saw luggage being x-rayed in some disembarkation ports.
