Tutontow Posted January 18, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2015 I love cruising with Carnival but there are a couple of things they could do that would make my trip even better. Offer a $25.00 double deck blackjack game in the casino, or at least a shoe game for $25.00. Offer cheers by the day for an additional $10.00 or $20.00 a day in addition to the normal $50.00 a day. For me I only want cheers on sea days. I could never drink 15 drinks on port days. Let you bring on your favorite booze and charge me a fee. For example Jack Daniels is $85.00. Let me bring my Woodford on board for a $60.00 fee. Open up the steakhouse for lunch with a lunch menu and charge a $20.00 up charge. Okay now what would you like to see. firemanbobswife Posted January 18, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2015 Not having to sign a receipt for Bottomless Bubbles every time I get a soda. Especially when the balance is "0". Totally stupid. No idea why they went to that. RC doesn't make you do that with the Freestyle machines and you don't get taxed on a soda when in a U.S. Port. Levir03 Posted January 18, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2015 Allow to carry on a 750 ml bottle (max) of beer in place of wine. Couldn't agree more with the additional fee to carry on brands of liquor not sold on the ship. On demand movies in the cabin (for a reasonable price). Rare talkorpi Posted January 18, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 18, 2015 I've always thought that offering doughnuts in the lido buffet along with the pastries would be a good idea. Heck, they could even do specialty doughnuts in the morning at the Coffee Shop.

Rare CruisinCrow Posted January 18, 2015 #7 Share Posted January 18, 2015 1) Allow someone to get the Cheers package without the whole cabin having to buy it. 2) Non-smoking casinos 3) Sushi bar (please bring it back)

mnh Posted January 18, 2015 #9 Share Posted January 18, 2015 Offer a Replenish Pkg for $20.00 per day like RCL.....Unlimited sodas, bottled water, mocktails, red bull, and specialty coffees....we always buy this on RCL and we get our money's worth! Ladderlieu29 Posted January 18, 2015 #10 Share Posted January 18, 2015 Pizza with delivery! I suppose this could just be listed under an expanded room service menu, but imagine being able to call and order a variety of pizza's and have them delivered! More late nights in ports, or overnights. Many ports have awesome nightlife that we on the cruise ships normally miss out on. More live music. wickedhangover Posted January 18, 2015 #11 Share Posted January 18, 2015 platinum/diamond only line to get on/off the ship... new menu items in the steakhouse, mostly the appetizers, would be nice to see those change. fee to bring on more wine than allowed, $20 a bottle over the current limit or something. Similar to bringing on booze, I'd pay reasonable amount if the liquor store onboard sold pint bottles. I don't really want a whole liter for the cruise, but a pint or half pint would be nice for the room.

They offer hot room service items, live bands on deck and free Internet minutes after you sail five times. If you don't want to leave your luggage unattended near the stateroom door, you can arrange to escort it down to Deck 4 (similar to Carnival's Deck Zero). If you want a whole traditional Baked Alaska, a headwaiter or Maitre d' may be able to accommodate your request for one if ordered 24 hours in advance. Pixelate Posted January 18, 2015 #15 Share Posted January 18, 2015 I would be willing to pay a $5.00 upcharge for hot meals room service. Carnival is one of the ONLY cruise lines that does not offer many hot room service options. Carnival's room service team can't even cook a grilled cheese correctly. Do you really expect them to properly handle a burger, hot dog or steaks?

Things I Wish Carnival Would Offer: 1. All indoor areas non-smoking. 2. Steel drums live. Steel drums live. Steel drums live. 3. Better rewards program for 25+ cruises (let customers choose from an a la carte list, i.e. meaningful upgrades, Cheers discounts, OBC, etc.). 4. Booking raffles: every time I cruise on a Carnival cruise I'm entered into a raffle for special stuff like free cruises, Cheers discounts, OBC, etc. 5. Transparent casino offers that are not subjective: tell me up front what I need to achieve to get a certain offer. The current program is too subjective, inconsistent, and doesn't fairly reward Carnival's best players. It is crazy to me that even though I've cruised on more Carnival cruises than any other brand, that I'm getting better offers from those other cruise lines. Simply speaking Carnival leaves me thinking that they do no appreciate my business. My most recent cruise was my 25th Carnival cruise and I did not even get a thank you as recognition. There is no rhyme or reason to the perks/comps the casino hands out. I received two free cruises over the summer. On my last free cruise we gambled way more at a higher level than we ever did before. We have yet to be given anything from that cruise and the last Premier cruise offer that went out did not get offered to us.
CHOPPERTESTER Posted January 18, 2015 #18 Share Posted January 18, 2015 (edited) The same alcohol policies as their sister company HAL. Bring as much wine and champagne on board, over you free allotment of one bottle per person, as you want and just pay a corkage fee during embarkation. Room service bottle services at reasonable prices ie Vodka or Rum for $27 a liter. Drink specials morning, noon & night. 2 for 1 Happy hours at select bars. Bases5 Posted January 18, 2015 #20 Share Posted January 18, 2015 I wish they would have a regular brewed coffee at the specialty coffee area on the promenade like princess. I love to mix espresso in my coffee. Red eye, Black eye, or Dead eye. But there was no coffee offered. I would pay.
cruiselover** Posted January 18, 2015 #21 Share Posted January 18, 2015 I wrote this suggestion a couple years ago on Cruise Critic - I think Carnival should have a lazy river on lido deck. I would love to sit in an inner tube and float around hours on end with an umbrella drink in hand. Sheer bliss!

NoName Posted January 18, 2015 #24 Share Posted January 18, 2015 I would love to see an expanded for fee room service menu. On Ncl, I loved ordering the whole pizza to be delivered to our stateroom, for 5 dollars! I wouldn't have a problem paying for dining room meals to be delivered as well. How about some real suite perks? On my last NCL Cruise, my grandson and I enjoyed our evening meal in our cabin repeatedly. I was so awesome when traveling with a 3 year old to be able to eat real meals, but not risk disturbing others meals. Having a butler and concierge was a wonderful perk. I would never pay for a suite on carnival under the current state of affairs!
Rare Tapi Posted January 19, 2015 #25 Share Posted January 19, 2015 Open up the steakhouse for lunch with a lunch menu and charge a $20.00 up charge. I agree 100%! We went to the Pinnacle Grill for lunch on Holland America and it was such a wonderful experience! I don't recall the exact price but I think it was $10-$15pp and totally worth it. The menu was not as extensive as the dinner menu, but I was still able to order a nice steak. And the impeccable service and elegant ambiance were still there. :) Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
