New Ship for Charleston, SC?

I like that idea. Do have any knowledge, or is it just an opinion?

It is a fragile peace in Charleston, but Fantasy won't be around too long given it's age and rumors of a sale.

No knowledge, just my opinion. Fantasy sells out every week at higher prices then some ports. Charleston deserves a bigger ship.

NCL's Majesty also sailed to Bermuda. It was still small enough to dock in St. George's.

We took this sailing (only 4.5 hours from us in GA) and all was fine until we hit a storm, had to rescue a medical emergency on a sailing vessel in 30 ft waves, had an engine go out and arrived a day late, missing a concert in Atlanta (The Police)!

Other than that, it was a great cruise!!!

The booking engine doesn't show anything for Fantasy out beyond April of 2016. While most other Fantasy-class ships also only show departures through that date, many of the larger ships show cruises well into 2017 (including Sunshine from Charleston).

I wonder if that indicates at least a shuffling of ships and ports for Fantasy and her sisters...

Any news this week?

Someone on another thread mentioned that the recently upgraded Fascination (or possibly another Fantasy-class ship) would likely replace Fantasy after next April. This would be make sense due to the size of the ship, it would be a different ship but the same class.

Carnival Sunshine has a 10 day roundtrip out of Charleston on May 30, 2016 going to St. Thomas, Antigua, Martinique, St. Kitts, and San Juan. :)

LuLu,

Are you going to book for May 2016? We missed cruising with you last year and are hoping to get to meet fellow Gamecock fans!

Hi! Go Cocks! :D

We have not firmly booked yet but most likely will!

Charleston is so very convenient and it's an excellent itinerary on what I understand is a nice Carnival ship.

We're taking a 19 day on Emerald Princess in January 2016 so by late May it would be fun take another cruise.

Are you booked? We'd love to cruise with y'all as well! :D
