Carnival EGift Card Question

Hi everyone!

I purchased an egift card for Carnival to pay for our excursions on our upcoming Sunshine cruise. My question is, after purchasing the excursions we still have $190 left on the card. Can I somehow apply that to my onboard account to help cover the cost of gratuities? If so that would be great. How would I go about doing it? Thanks for any help you can offer!

Take it with you and either visit guest services, or use one of the self-serve kiosks. I bought some myself when they did the sale over t-giving.

Thank you AMCJeep! I was hoping there was a way to do it. I will put it someplace safe and go right to Guest Services when we board.

I just did the same thing on my last cruise. You can either take it to Guest Services, or use the kiosk to apply it to your account. I had a little money left at the end of the cruise, and Carnival mailed me a gift card with the balance.

Awesome. I think we can use up the balance that will be left. It will mostly cover gratuities, and hey, a drink or two. :)

I am pretty sure i know the answer to this question but i will double check. Upon the check in at port i wil have to have a credit/debit card linked to my sail and sign purchases. My question is that after i board the ship and add a E gift card to my account does Carnival use that money first automatically before authorizing anything on my credit card?

I believe they may put a small hold on the card when you first check in to make sure the card is valid. But they definitely use the cash or gift card money before applying any other balances to the card on record.
