shipfriend_max Posted January 29, 2015 #27 Share Posted January 29, 2015 Who needs he/she will need whistles and bells such as an IMAX cinema and a "Skyrider" on a cruise ship - have fun! But nothing for me - I want to go on a CRUISE and not on a floating resort/water park...
Rare LAFFNVEGAS Posted January 30, 2015 #28 Share Posted January 30, 2015 Wouldn't Las Vegas be cheaper? Ira The question is have you been to Vegas late?? Unless you stay in the lower end hotels and do NOT drink any alcoholic beverages the cruise is going to be far cheaper. An average cocktail at say MGM, Wynn Venetain or Ceasars is going to cost you around $16 to $18 per drink a soda in said hotels is around $5.

A beer at the Flamingo was $7.00 and a Pina Colada poolside was $20.00. The buffet at the Mirage was $45.00 for brunch. Strip prices are nuts, the more central the higher the price. cruz chic Posted January 30, 2015 #30 Share Posted January 30, 2015 Wow, I used to go to Vegas a lot but I bet I haven't been there in about 4 years or more. I had no idea it had gotten so expensive.
Orsino Posted January 30, 2015 #31 Share Posted January 30, 2015 The sky ride thing looks interesting, but I think they have a severe design flaw in having an inner track and an outer track. I don't see the point of the inner track. The draw is going to be the views of the ocean. A smarter design would have the tracks switch so both get unobstructed views. Norwegian Breakaway had a ropes course that offered fantastic views from up high. Watching the sunset from up there was pretty cool.
Despegue Posted January 30, 2015 #32 Share Posted January 30, 2015 Pfff... AidaBlu, AidaSol, AidaMar and AidaStella of Aida Cruises all have a brewery and Even a 4-D cinema onboard. Nothing new by Carnival. They are just copying what their German Sister line has introduced in 2010.
