BBMacLaird Posted January 30, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 30, 2015 Good news. We have received early confirmation from the Venice port authorities that our ships will be berthed along the San Basilio Berth this 2015 season! FYI, as a point of reference, last year we were still waiting to hear in April, as seen in the following CC thread: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2024583&highlight=venice

CintiPam Posted February 7, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 7, 2015 Thanks for posting that terrific news, Bonnie. San Basilio is such a convenient place from which to embark and disembark IMO because the vaporetto stop located there is one very small bridge with few stairs and only about 50 flat yards from the San Basilio terminal. When we embarked on our RT Venice Quest Croatian coast trip in September 2012, we took a vaporetto up the Grand Canal from the stop near our Venetian hotel, then swtiched at the railway station for one going to San Basilio. When we disembarked, we took one directly from San Basilio to the Santa Lucia railway station, where we caught our train to Milan.
