Ventura Epicurean Restaurant?

We are booked to go on the Ventura in May. I have looked at the cruise personaliser today and see that The White Room is not showing as one of the select dining venues. However, The Epicurean Restaurant is. Does that mean that the Marco Pierre White, White Room is no longer on the Ventura?

I have not seen any information regarding a change of name and MPW does feature in the current adverts. He is also on Britannia so perhaps that is to be the name of his restaurants across the fleet.

Epicurean is not a MPW restaurant on Britannia he is only responsible for meals in MDR on formal nights. The Epicurean is not named after a celebrity chef like XV11 on Azura.

I am unable to get through to PandO (well don't have time to wait). The cruise personaliser also states East with Atul Kochar. I am a P and O novice compared to most of you, but I think this is also different?

Perhaps East may be the future select restaurant linked to a particular chef on Ventura and the White Room replaced with Epecurean?

Nothing on the P and O website to suggest any changes.

East and the white room are the 2 specialist restaurants on Ventura , both are amazing, We ate 3 times in East and once in The White Room in December. If you book an early time slot it includes a bottle of wine per couple

I have just spoken to a very helpful lady at P and O. She found out for me that The White Room is being renamed The Epicurean but that everything else will remain the same. She stated that it will still be linked to Marco Pierre White.

However, the blurb about the Epicurean on the cruise personaliser does not mention Marco Pierre White. Neither do the sample menus.

The blurb from the cruise personaliser:

The Epicurean Restaurant

At The Epicurean Restaurant a sense of occasion is always on the menu! The Epicurean celebrates fine dining traditions of the past, combining them with contemporary presentation and the very best ingredients. The menu features skilfully prepared dishes such as Whole Dover Sole à la Meunière or Chateaubriand of Prime English Beef. With time to thoroughly appreciate each course, you can relax and revel in the restaurant’s special atmosphere.
