Rare trbarton Posted February 5, 2015 #26 Share Posted February 5, 2015 Some things to remember. Attach your tags before you arrive at the airport because if something happens to your luggage they will know where you're going. I prefer the plastic ones where you insert your luggage tag, a one time expense, and fast and easy to do. I also suggest that you print an itinerary and put it inside your checked in luggage. In case something happens to your luggage they'll know where you're going. Tom:)
cruisehappy001 Posted February 5, 2015 #27 Share Posted February 5, 2015 Has anyone bought the CC tags. I cannot tell the quality but if they are good the price is not bad. 2.50 each. Another vote for the quality of these from CC. I bought these a while back and they have worked great! I have used the same ones for 7 or so cruises with no problems at all. I bought these as cruise gifts for family members too. I also got several spares that I have not had to even break out yet. Happy Cruising! MilliesMom Posted February 5, 2015 #28 Share Posted February 5, 2015 Thanks for your reply. Can you also tell me whether it is a good idea to get the cruise luggage tag holders (like on Amazon), or is this an unnecessary expense? The last 3 cruises we have used a clear plastic holder specifically made for the tags. We really like them and find that they help protect the luggage tags from being ripped/torn/water damaged if raining. I just checked amazon and yes, these are very similar to the ones we have used. We feel they are worth buying.
kimberlycrouch Posted February 5, 2015 #29 Share Posted February 5, 2015 I put Luggage tags on everything in case they get lost. I make copies and laminate them. Punch hole in top and tie on luggage, purses. Sent from my iPad using Forums

anniese44 Posted February 5, 2015 Author #32 Share Posted February 5, 2015 I really appreciate all your responses!!! I did stop by the AAA office on the way home yesterday. They did have the cruise luggage tags - it was a package of two for $4.25. I went ahead and bought them cause I was in there, and I didn't have to pay for shipping. Thanks again to all who responded to my question.
neilrr Posted February 5, 2015 #33 Share Posted February 5, 2015 We laminate them and punch holes in the "Staple" area and use twist ties. We would not use paper and staples between the rain and the number of pieces of luggage handled here in S. FL... :)

TomCruises Posted February 5, 2015 #36 Share Posted February 5, 2015 Do you need to put luggage tags on your carry on items also (for any reason) or just the stuff that you will be leaving for the cruise personnel to bring aboard? Can't find an answer to this. Thank you. Without thought, one should always have a luggage tag for identification purposes attached to their luggage! Its easy, quick and simple to have this attached to luggage. Why wouldn't you?
