tidygirl Posted February 5, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2015 We will be in Kotor in Oct trying to decide whether to hire a tour guide and go see Lovcen National Park and see a little bit of the island or just look around town? We want to see stuff not sit around eating or drinking. Will be in port from 2-8 PM sure we will need to be back to the port area around 7? Are there taxi drivers that will do tours waiting when you get off the ship or book ahead? Any advice?
maidncruze Posted February 6, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 6, 2015 Hi TidyGirl, Private tours in Kotor are relatively inexpensive compared to some of the other ports and a great way to see this fabulous place. I had a very detailed thread a while ago about Milo. He is the driver that took us around Kotor during our stop and he was absolutely fantastic and reasonably priced. You can figure between 100 - 150 Euro for about a 5 hour tour and that was for the 4 of us not per person. Over the years I have sent referred hundreds of cruise critic members to Milo and have received a lot of great response. If you require more info you can e-mail Milo at popmilo@rocketmail.com or you can check out his facebook page toursbymilo Frank
Rare Gourmet Gal Posted October 2, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 2, 2015 We also did a 5 hour tour with Milo a couple of weeks ago. He was excellent. Friendly and fun, hardworking.
Rare Got2Cruise Posted October 2, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 2, 2015 How about climbing the fort either half way or all the way up? You can also take a swim at a small beach with crystal clear water.
gail1000 Posted October 5, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 5, 2015 We just got back from our cruise which visited Kotor. We did a private tour for the day with Diko of Mont Travellers and he was wonderful. We had a perfect day.
Doughty3 Posted October 6, 2015 #6 Share Posted October 6, 2015 Recently we climbed to the fort..quite a challenge for a couple in our late sixties & mid seventies. We then had a well earned delicious seafood lunch in a family run restaurant in a back street, followed by a little shopping in the old town. Everyone we met was very friendly and helpful.
