Rare GeezerCouple Posted February 9, 2015 #27 Share Posted February 9, 2015 This thread has probably confused more than answer the OP question. Very simple and straightforward answer. With UDP there are NO additional charges regardless of how much or what you eat or how many specialties you visit in one evening. Almost, but not quite.... (sorry!): The best that we can figure out is that the ONLY time one would have an additional charge with the UDP is IF one person orders TWO entrees at a single sitting in Cagney's. Then it seems there would be a surcharge of something like $10 or $15 (??). Doing this at any other included specialty restaurant, even at Le Bistro, would *not* incur any additional charge. The odd thing about this is that presumably one could come *back* to Cagney's a second time in one evening, and order that second entree (and maybe just continue the entire second half of the meal? :)) and there would NOT be any surcharge at all. And that would also take up a lot more space and time at a table at Cagney's, a table they could otherwise use for other patrons. "Go figure...." But we did not try to order a second entree at Cagney's, so we don't know for sure if they would really add that surcharge. Sabiney Posted February 9, 2015 #28 Share Posted February 9, 2015 We were on the Pearl in December. Two in our party had the lobster add on and were charged the extra $10.00 each w/the UDP. When brought to the waiters attention, we were told that there was an upcharge. After it was still on their account a few days later we contacted the concierge and she had it removed. So, be sure to check you account... Pat

GeezerCouple We did order a second entree in Cagneys but had them hold the 2 extra sides. I added the sea bass to my filet mignon. We were not charged any extra. This ended up being a different take on surf and turf so they may have treated it as that.

In Cagney's, all the entrees are separate from the side dishes. The sides are ordered separately and you can get as many or as few as you want. You are correct that they are separate however unless I am mistaken, either the menu says "select 2' or the waiter said that or we just assumed sine that is standard in most restaurants. In any case, my point was we ordered what was in essence 2 entrees and was not charged any extra.

GeezerCouple Getting Conflicting information on extra charges at Cagneys and Le Bistro. With UDP at Cagneys & Le Bistro - no surcharge for special item but there is a extra charges for ordering second entree? Seafood Tower, where is it being offer and is there is surcharge if you have UDP?

Seafood Tower, where is it being offer and is there is surcharge if you have UDP? We don't think there is anything called Seafood Tower (or not anymore). As for the upcharge for an extra entree, definitely conflicting info, including conflicting FAQs floating around. All we can say is that at Le Bistro over the holidays, no upcharge for higher-cost entrees, and no upcharge for a second entree for one person. We didn't have to ask or argue. We knew about the conflicting FAQs, and decided, if there is a charge, we'll just pay it. But ALL charges were shown, and ALL charges were zero'd out when they processed our cards with the UDP stickers. GeezerCouple

Think it's silly to charge extra for second entree at Cagneys and/or other specialty restaurants if you've the UDP. If the entree is good and wanted to order another to share then why not, also one may not want dessert afterward. Don't think they'll loose $$ on one extra steak since not everyone is ordering 2nd. What if someone eats at Cagneys at 5:30, go to the show, and then come back again to Cayneys after the show (since their steak is good)? Are they going to charge you extra $10 for the 2nd entree since you ate there twice today? Come on, not everyone is going to order 2nd entree, well maybe a handfull (since they're big eater). This is vacation, and it's FREESTYLE correct? :D

And we fully agree: If someone can return later for an entire second meal, then... why quibble about a *part* of another meal without making the person leave and then return (which could be in 5 minutes, with back to back reservations  ) GeezerCouple

LrgPizza Posted February 25, 2015 #43 Share Posted February 25, 2015 There is nothing called a seafood tower on any of the specialty menus. If you look for that, you will be disappointed. There is a dish called FRUITS DE MER at Le Bistro which is Lobster, Shrimp, Scallops and Fennel in Puff Pastry. It's good, but a far cry from anything that would be described as a tower. It's a bunch of seafood in sauce on a piece of pastry.

Fruits de Mer is what is available now and it could be called a seafood trio, but surely not a tower. It's good, but there are a few Le Bistro dishes that are better. hpecorari Posted May 1, 2015 #48 Share Posted May 1, 2015 How are extra charge items treated in the specialty restaurants if you have the Ultimate Dining Packag? Things like lobster in Cagney's and steak for two in Le Bistro are usually an up charge ove the regular fee. Are they still an added fee for UDP participants? Or they included in the UDP? The up charge items are included. However, if you wish for a 2nd entree there is a $10.00 fee in which 18% gratuity will be added to that $10.00.
