Parking in ny?

Some people park at Park Right, which is a few blocks from the cruise terminal. They're currently advertising a rate of $28 per night:

Also, if you're coming through NJ, you can park at the NY Waterway Port Imperial Ferry terminal in Weehawken for $16 per night and taken the ferry across the river to Manhattan, at $9 per adult in each direction. That ferry docks about a half mile south of the cruise terminal, a reasonable walk for many if you can handle your luggage, or a short taxi ride.

We usually park at Park Right on 43rd St. It's $28 a day and valet. You can walk or they will drop you off at the pier in your car. Also reimburse you the $5 cab for the ride back from the ship. You call with your tag number and they have your car waiting for you. We're going on the Gem next month and we have a 20% coupon for parking at the pier, so we'll be parking there this time. Have a great cruise!!

Have to say that we used the ParkRight at 43rd Street.

The good : They got in our car and rode with us to the terminal, took our luggage out for us when we got there (gave is directions to get there) and then took our car back to the garage. We walked the few blocks (2 kids and 2 suitcases) it is really an easy walk - to the garage and within a few minutes our car was ready.

The not so good : When we pulled up to the garage (on a side street almost like an alley) there were cars everywhere trying to get in. We had to wait at least 15 minutes for someone to help us.

The valet was courteous and helpful and I would recommend using them.

Thanks Vinster42, I never thought of looking for a coupon! We always park at the pier, it's so convenient. Here is the link I found, then just click "download coupon". http://www.nycruise.com/manhattan-terminal/parking/

Printed off the coupon, but it says $280 rate reduced from $360. To my calculations, the 7 day rate is only $280? How is this a good coupon?

Because the coupon is for 9 day cruises, not 7 day cruises. Parking for a 9 day cruise is normally $360.

From the nycruise.com website:

Save a Boatload on Parking

Download and print our coupon for over 20% off on 9 day parking for Norwegian Gem cruises leaving from the Manhattan Cruise Terminal through April 24, 2015. Coupon must be presented at time of payment.

Edit: Looks like you may have already realized that.
