NCL Dawn Concierge Question

Hey Everyone! Am sailing on the Dawn in a few weeks. Staying in a suite for the first time. I was slow in deciding what excursions I was interested in and then the only one I wanted was gone - which I assume means it is full. Soooo, is it hopeless or is that one of the perks of suite life...can they get you in? Thanks!!

We were in a suite on the Dawn a couple weeks ago and Korabi, our concierge was great. We had no problems in doing any excursion we wanted just by asking her. If different times are available, don't forget to tell her which one you want.

And because it's not available for pre booking does not mean it is full, you should check the excursion desk as soon as you board.

I agree with Guindalf 100% We were on the same sailing and Karabi was awesome. What great service we received from her all week long. As rvsullivan pointed out you should have no problem getting that arranged once on board. We had a reservation at Teppanyaki pre boarding but required another spot for one so I asked Karabi in the VIP lounge prior to boarding when would be a good time to see her about adding another to our reservation and by the time I finished the question, she had already gone into our reservation and made it for one more. I was only asking about a time to come see her as she was crazy busy with the embarkation process and didn't want to disturb beyond asking a question. That is what I call great customer service.

 

Check with the concierge and he/she will most likely be able to help out.

Keep checking back at the shore excursions desk for any cancellations and if

they have a standby list put your name on it.

 

AND by all means use your concierge to get you on that excursion. Some

excursions are capacity controlled because of transportation but there is

always the odd chance the tour could include a few more with a larger

bus etc.

Thanks a million everyone!! My family and I are very self sufficient and really booked the suite cause I hate waiting in line to get on and off...and I really hate the tender experience. I was banking on Maya Key in roatan Bay but it has disappeared from the excursion options. I really didn't want to ask the concierge if it is not proper....after all it's my own fault that I hemmed and hawed about doing it online...wanted to use my onboard credit! LOL

When you board you should have an escort to your suite. It is usually the butler. You could call NCL in advance about the excursion or ask the butler as you are going to your suite.

Your concierge has influence and will do what they can to accommodate your needs. You are not asking too much; this is what they do for suite passengers and are your best resource. They maintain communication with your butler.

You might also look at the port boards under Caribbean and Roatan. You might find something just as interesting.

shouldn't be a problem to book through your suite. They will get you on. I was also able to sell some excursions back to them after we changed our minds. saved me about $500
