Vancouver trolley company

Recommended Posts

For hop on/hop off are they the way to go? Or, do you like someone else?

Thank you!

Depends what you have in mind. If you want a pre-done route, any of the hop on hop offs do much the same thing. If you have specific things you want to visit, especially given the trolleys really only do downtown, buying a local transit pass (bus/seabus/skytrain) is a much much better deal. The local transit system is extensive and can get you to pretty much everywhere the trolley goes with much more frequent service.

I have done it both ways. I learned a great deal about Vancouver by riding first with the Vancouver Trolley Company and listening to what the driver had to say. For our second and subsequent trips, we discovered the Seabus (to North Vancouver), local buses through town, the Skytrain to get a view of the city's outskirts and many an hour on foot. I think I would have missed a lot by not having the initial guided trip with Vancouver Trolley.
