Is there tax on Beverage Packages?

My husband wants the Ultimate Pkg and I want the Royal Replenish pkg.

 

If my calculations are correct:

 

Ultimate $55x7 days=$385

RR $19x7 days=$133

 

Total $518 x 18% gratuity= $611.24 for both packages, unless there is tax.

 

Would someone please be kind enough to check me on my calculations. I'm trying to plan my budget.

No tax is charged on drink packages for Caribbean and most other itineraries.

Some European itineraries charge Value Added Tax if itinerary doesn't call on a non-EU port.

There is no tax but gratuities must be paid. I have booked a select package for oasis in June. It's $45 a day x 7 = $245 x 18%= $289. That's what I was charged. I like beer :)

You may have to pay tax on individual drinks you have before you depart. We had the package in New Orleans, and for each drink while in US, we paid sales tax on each drink.

Just prebooked our packages today. PP was $404.74 & Select was $289.10, nope after the 18% tips no additional tax :D

You do need to add gratuities into your calculations. Currently, they are 18% and will be added at purchase. Be sure to budget for those.

Taxes - have not had it charged on any itinerary we have purchased it on, regardless of port. It may or may not be in some ports, no experience with that.
