Everforward27 Posted February 21, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2015 Hello there, We are trying to take a Carnival cruise eastern Caribbean on the Valor. Any suggestions on this cruise would be awesome! We were thinking of flying in the Friday before we leave for the cruise and maybe doing a beach day. Is there anywhere that provides transportation from airport to hotel then to port? Thanks in advance Jaclyn
Capt_BJ Posted February 21, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2015 (edited) airport is about 1 hour from the port so no 'free' shuttles Radisson will package all your transfers ... for a price ... and is just outside the port (not ON the beach, but Jetty Park is minutes away) http://www.radisson.com/cape-canaveral-hotel-fl-32920/flcocoa/optional the least expensive option is a one way car rental .. gives you flex' when looking for dinner etc as well rentals at the cape (use location Cape Canaveral or Cocoa Beach) Hertz, Budget, Avis, Thrifty, Dollar, Enterprise, National, Alamo, Payless ... all run shuttles to the port and all are with 3 miles of the port. or Cocoa Beach Stuttle Executive Shuttle Travelynx and Limo's Edited February 21, 2015 by Capt_BJ
schultz Posted February 21, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 21, 2015 Most people do one way car rentals. We always stay the Marriott Residence Inn. Good hot breakfast included. Not on the beach but we always have a rental car that we take to the beach. The hotel is probably the closest one to the port. The car rentals all have free shuttles but they are also extremely busy because they shuttle people just off the cruise & those going to the terminal. Give yourself plenty of time. Great restaurants right at the port, we like eating at Fishlips right at the pier. You get to wave to the ships leaving the ports in the afternoon. Rare John&LaLa Posted February 22, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 22, 2015 Thank you everyone....I was just reading some reviews about coco beach being nice. If you are doing the rental car, no real reason to stay at the motels near port. Look into the Doubletree or Hampton. Both on beach with balconies overlooking ocean
