over night in puerta vallarta

If they're still tied up at the dock, the casino and shops will be closed. Are you sure they will be tied up? The reason I ask is because when I was on a Carnival ship that overnighted in Cabo, the ship actually went out to sea overnight and came back into port the next morning. That way the casino and shops could be open. More $$$$ for Carnival that way.

Cabo is different because it is a tender port and the ship never docks at all. In Puerto Vallarta the ship is at the dock overnight. I don't think the casino is open on board at that time. There is fun nightlife in Puerto Vallarta and so folks can take advantage of that while there.

I have never been to one of these but here is some info about the "casinos" on land in PV.It sounds like they just have slots:
