Need hotel recommendations for overnight near the San Diego cruise port

I would appreciate some hotel recommendations near the San Diego cruise port. It would be an extra bonus if they provided airport pickup also.

If you read down the board, there are many threads discussing your question. Embassy Suites is our favorite, within walking distance of the dock. The distance to the airport is very short...the taxi short be very cheap.

Wyndham Bayshore is right by the dock. Hampton Inn & Suites is also a short distance.

I like Hampton Inn on Pacific Highway. Airport shuttle and shuttle to port, but it's so close to the terminal, I just take my wheeled suitcase and walk over there.

Wyndham Bayside is across the street from terminal, we stayed there a few years ago when it was Holiday Inn and loved it. We just wheeled our luggage across the street, very convenient. We are staying there 5/13 and AAA rate is 186.15 plus tax. I check everyday and prices go up and down. So far rate has gone from 209.00 to 186.15

 

They do have airport shuttle, after baggage claim go to ground transportation and their shuttle leaves every 15 minutes. No need to call.
