Yes, we were on the Roatan/Belize/Coz itinerary.

 

I'm scanning the FT's for our itinerary now, will merge each day's into one .pdf file so there are just 7 to view.

 

We did actually have several (at least 3) karaoke sessions, and a lot more trivia than I thought, given some previous reviews I had read!

Regarding the shows: anyone who, like me, was a teen in the 80s would love the 80s Pop to the Max show, and my friend and I loved 88 Keys so much we saw it twice! Heart of Soul and Getaway Island weren't bad -- the performers are amazing -- but I didn't really connect as much with the music on HOS or storyline of GI. Aaron, who does most of the singing on 88 Keys, is really star material...no idea why he's on a cruise ship!

 

They were advertising that if you booked the steakhouse for first night of the cruise (make your reservation as soon as you board), they would throw in a free bottle of wine. Or you can do what we did and pay 20 bucks to have them bring down an AMAZING New York Strip, filet mignon, or Surf 'n' Turf from the Steakhouse to the dining room any night. Over the length of the cruise I had both the strip and the filet and these were the best steaks I've ever had! Worth every penny!

 

Among the group of us still discussing our sailing on "that other website," Roatan was overwhelmingly everyone's favorite port, even though we all did different things there. My daughter, my friend, and I did the Dolphin Action Swim, purchased before the cruise through Carnival's website, and I booked the last session of the day. This was ideal because a) we could sleep in, b) we had the ship pretty much to ourselves all day long, and c) booking the excursion through Carnival, we knew the ship wouldn't sail without us. It left at either 2 or 3...so we ate lunch on the ship and were back for supper -- no need to buy a meal in port.

 

There were several port day spa specials. I didn't keep the flyers but they were along the lines of choose 3 items from a list for $99, or 5 for $129, something like that.

I'm having my wedding on the Carnival Freedom 7 day western Caribbean in Jan. I really need to get my hands on the Fun Times. We have 73 guests....that is going to be like hearding cats if I cant come up with some itineraries.
