Cessnock Posted March 22, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2015 I have heard there is a wine package (different to the general beverage one) but cannot find information. Does it exist and if so can we purchase it from the wine waiter the first night at dinner?
JasonTehGreat Posted March 22, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 22, 2015 Did you check the gift order form?
smslms Posted March 22, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 22, 2015 Wine packages are available, but not necessarily on all ships or all cruises. When available, there is a Silver package and Gold package, the latter being slightly more expensive but a bit better wine. If available, the packages can be for 7, 10 or 12 bottles. Your dinner waiter in the MDR will be happy to sell you the package if available.

Working 2 Cruise Posted March 22, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 22, 2015 Did you check the gift order form? That would not be on the gift from. It's only available on longer cruises and bought onboard.

Astro Flyer Posted March 23, 2015 #8 Share Posted March 23, 2015 (edited) Wine packages are available, but not necessarily on all ships or all cruises. When available, there is a Silver package and Gold package, the latter being slightly more expensive but a bit better wine. If available, the packages can be for 7, 10 or 12 bottles. Your dinner waiter in the MDR will be happy to sell you the package if available. Here's the wine package info & we also purchase it from our dining room waiter as there is some benefit to them & they'll be the one getting our wine for us. Note: A 15% gratuity is added to all package prices (like any other bar purchase). Silver Package (wines up to $29 per bottle list price) 7 bottles -- $161 (average of $23 per bottle) 10 bottles -- $210 (average of $21 per bottle) 12 bottles -- $240 (average of $20 per bottle) Gold Package (wines up to $45 per bottle list price) 7 bottles -- $217 (average of $31 per bottle) 10 bottles -- $290 (average of $29 per bottle) 12 bottles -- $336 (average of $28 per bottle) You get a punch card which can be used at any of the dining locations. You may choose any wine on on the regular wine menu. If you want to buy a wine that costs more than what the package covers, you just pay the difference. For example, if you have a Gold package and buy a wine that costs $46, the charge for $46 will appear on your stateroom account, followed by a $45 credit http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=44386439&postcount=4 Edited March 23, 2015 by Astro Flyer

Working 2 Cruise Posted March 23, 2015 #10 Share Posted March 23, 2015 I think "soon" should have been "on". Thanks, I didn't see that... twice! Yes, it should have said "not available on 7 day cruises or shorter." I hate my Kindle's auto-correct!
