Teens on Freedom of the Seas

My daughter will be 14 when we go on our cruise this summer. She will be turning 15 the following month. All the other teens fall in the 15-17 age group. Would I be able to get permission for her to be included in the older age group?

Our 14 year old has never been asked her age. Often times they will combine ages 12-17 due to numbers. Our experience has been that there are not many 16-17 year olds that use the teen lounge. Most of the kids are 13-15. The younger kids (under 12) are required to have an information form filled out, the older kids are not. You will have no issues.

They all will be carded at any venue that is 18 and over. The 17 yr old will have access to the teen program which the others won't. The 18 yr olds will be able to go in the night club, if your ship has one, and the casino.

I can't imagine the 17 and 18 year olds wanting to go in the teen clubs

Have her go to the teen club the first night to meet kids -- then for the rest of the cruise, they'll all just hang out together on their own rather than doing the "programmed" teen activities.

 

But attending that first day is important to make the initial connections.
