Question re Gem's noon arrival in Port Canaveral and when we can likely disembark

We'll be on the Gem's 7-night NY/Florida/Bahamas cruise in May, scheduled to arrive in Port Canaveral at noon on a Tuesday. We have friends meeting us at the ship and we intend to get off as soon as we can -- for folks who have done this itinerary, what would be a reasonable time to tell our friends we can meet them?

Thanks for the help.

Should be able to leave by 12:15 at the latest.

We were on an excursion and were in the bus and on the road by 12:15. I am not sure if they wait until all of the shore excursion folks disembark before disembarking everyone else, but I wouldn't expect that process to take too long.

We've been through Port Canaveral twice. The first time we had no problem getting off around 12:30. The second time it was well after 1 and absolute chaos. The port authority changed positions on them at the last minute and you couldn't get off until all those with excursions were gone. Just be prepared for that. We talked to the HD about it and I felt so sorry for them - it was a total last minute scramble and people were not patient.
