Vines Bar Door on Golden Princess

We have booked P331 on Golden. It is an inside cabin closest to the Vines Bar. Can anyone tell me if we can use the door aft of our cabin to enter the Vines Bar area or do you have to walk forward and through the Art Gallery to get to the piazza?

No access crew only, the GM's office and several other senior officers offices are there. :)

That's true on Emerald/Crown/Ruby. I don't think it's true on Golden.

On Grand, the PSD office is opposite P334. I think it's the same on Golden.

Regardless, no way to tell in advance.

The door on opposite side on Emerald -- has been open every time I've been

there -- like 14 cruises.

The last two cruises -- closed, and labeled emergency use only.

Exactly this. I stayed in P335 on Star Princess (identical to Golden in both Plaza deck cabin arrangement and retrofit-style Piazza) and can vouch for that door not being passenger accessible and the constant in-and-out from the backroom offices immediately forward of your cabin can be heard 24/7.

You must go through the Art Gallery to access Vines.

Isn't P337 next to P335?

On the early grand class, I think the purser back office space is

at the end of the row of inside cabins.

On Caribbean Princess, I had no problem using the door in Vines, to go in or out of to for my Plaza deck starboard side cabin.

I saw officers in the hallway who saw me use the door and they said nothing to me.

If one of the Vines staff was not busy with another passenger, when I came back down in the evening, they would even run over and open the door for me (like a doorman), so I could access the hallway.

Of course. Some of the posters don't realize that there is a

difference between the older and newer ships. I have attached

a picture to help.

Confusing picture. There is no Alfredo's on the Golden.

I agree, that picture is not representative of the Golden.

I am not saying that it is not possible to go through that area; but it is not designated as a public thoroughfare.

the Golden has several offices right beside vines (inside).

The HGM office is located behind the international cafe (HGM always has a window) with more office located across the hall from this as well.

i can vouch that this door in vines is opened and closed often and personally would not pick a cabin right beside it.

Last on her we could use the door

but don't think there were offices there.

If there was offices we still could use

the door.

I did think I wouldn't want the cabin

next to the door..would be lots of noise

with door opening and closing but if kept

closed you won't have worry about noise

just will have to walk more.
