Miami cruise terminal, can we drop off our bags?

Will we be able to drop off our bags around 9:30 am and leave the terminal to return our rental car to the Miami Airport? Or will one of us need to wait at the terminal with our luggage while the other returns the rental? Or do we have to lug our bags with us to the airport and take them with us on our shuttle to the ship after dropping off the rental? Sounds confusing I know but I just want to make sure I know what is "allowed". TIA

Agree you don't have to lug your bags. BUT...make sure your bags are clearly marked with the ship's name and the porters understand where they are going. Cruisers are still unloading from 9-9:30. You don't want to get them mixed in the wrong "bin".;)

9:30 AM is fine but stress that these are bags for the next sailing and yes you should tip no matter what time you drop off the bags. Be sure you give them to a porter and not anyone else.
