Baltic Excursions with Celebrity

Recommended Posts

We will be traveling on the Celebrity Silhouette out of Amsterdam on July 3. We were wondering if anyone has any detailed information regarding the Celebrity excursions in Berlin. We are looking for a detail description of the excursion regarding what you stop and get off to see, how much time, and what are the drive past and view from the bus. The Celebrity site doesn't give any detail. Thanks to those who can help with this.

Here is some more that I dug out of the Celebrity website. Not sure how deep and detailed you wanted/needed. Does this help some?

A times, the X-website can be a little "challenging" for being user-friendly. It takes twists and turns to reach the better info. Some of these tours on their website also have some comments from past users, etc. The big question is about the six hours, total, in one day, on a coach getting there and back. Here are the five options that show from their website:

Thanks Terry, At least the first two descriptions tell us what is a photo stop versus a drive-by. I was not able to find that on the Celebrity site.

Yes, sadly, the Celebrity website (and those of some other lines) can be challenging for finding and navigating about excursion options, costs, timings, etc.

On another board, there was a question seeking exact timing/schedules. Very seldom do cruise line and/or tour companies give exact, highly-detailed time schedules. Why? There can be adjustments due to road closings, traffic, construction, etc. Adjustments to schedules are often needed in large cities and they want to stay somewhat flexible.

Clearly there are options to consider for whether you want a tour option that gives you more timing flexibility to do things on your own . . . versus . . . a tour where you are riding on their set of scheduled locations/stops. Some prefer more "explore the city on your own". Some do not like that flexibility. There are pro/con factors both ways. BUT, with Berlin, it is a long, long bus ride back to the ship so you want to make sure you do not miss your connections.

THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio
