mnight Posted April 13, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2015 So we are sailing on the 4th July on the Quantum of the Seas with 2 adults and 2 teenagers. We are booked to be sharing a balcony cabin between the 4 of us because it worked out a LOT cheaper than 2 separate cabins. Is it possible that once the ship sets sail that Royal Caribbean will offer us a second cabin if there are spaces perhaps from upgrading their loyal customers? If so would a second cabin be complimentary? Thank You :)
Clarea Posted April 13, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 13, 2015 Anything is possible, but the scenario you describe is extremely unlikely.

Did you price? Might have worked with your budget- did you price the two inside with view cabins? While the balcony cabins are nice, very small for four adults especially when the top bed is pulled down. However you have to do what you can afford. CruisinCons Posted April 15, 2015 #9 Share Posted April 15, 2015 I have to disagree with the previous posters, as we were the happy recipients of a visit from the upgrade fairy. We were 4 booked in a balcony, and were upgraded at no additional charge (except the $25 the TA charged us for the change) to two connecting balconies. We booked the 3/19/15 sailing in April 2014...got the upgrade call Nov 2014. So yes, it can happen. I don't remember what our original cabin number was, but it was on deck 7 or 8, in the middle. Our upgrade was to 11306 & 11308. We had a choice between those two cabins or another set on deck either 10 or 12. Can't recall for sure. Good luck, and I hope the fairy visits you too!
