geocruiser Posted April 13, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 13, 2015 On the Azamara's web site you can book the voyage or request a quote. Are the prices different for the same cruise??

midwestchick Posted April 14, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 14, 2015 On the Azamara's web site you can book the voyage or request a quote. Are the prices different for the same cruise?? I can't answer if the prices are the same but when I've requested a quote, ACC turns my information over to a travel agency and they call me, (anyway, that's been my experience). I don't care for the travel agency and wouldn't do business with them and the quotes are higher than what I've been able to get elsewhere.
geocruiser Posted April 14, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted April 14, 2015 Hello Geocruiser,I'm not sure I understand the question. On Azamara's web site first I pick the cruise I want. Then I click on Voyage Details and Booking. The next page has threee choices. !. Book this Voyage Today 2. Request a Quote 3. Talk to a Expert My question is if I choose choice #1 Book this Voyage Today, will the price be the same as request a Quote? Question #2 If I can get a price on the web site, why do I need a quote? Thanks
ikelmay Posted April 15, 2015 #5 Share Posted April 15, 2015 Same experience here. When I was following up on an email offer I was routed from Azamara's website to their 'preferred' agency. Their pricing, when they got back to me, was much higher than other sites that I found within a few clicks of my mouse.

Question #2 If I can get a price on the web site, why do I need a quote? Thanks Hi Geocruiser, I suppose it depends how far along you are in the 'buying cycle'. If you are simply doing research you would probably Talk to an Expert. If you are close to buying and want to comparative shop you might Request a Quote. And if you are ready to buy and want to do it all yourself, you have the option to Book This Voyage Today (using the online booking engine.) Theoretically the prices should be the same, but in the real world you must factor in time variable. Prices are changed by our RM regularly to take into account many variables: availability, demand, time left until sailing date, promotions, world events, sometimes foreign exchange rates, etc. And where you buy may affect the price as well.
