Celebrity drink prices onboard

Hi

I am trying to work out if a classic drinks package is worth my while. I would have a few cocktails, beers along with sodas and the odd glass of wine. But I don't know if I would drink €53 worth per day.

Can any of you experienced Celebrity sailers tell me the approx. cost of these items individually onboard?

Diet coke

Bottle of water

Bottle of beer

Glass of wine

A pina colada

Also are any drinks freely available throughout the ship? eg. water

Here is my "RUFF" run down of a day with a drink pkg on another thread

For us at least, the package was not just about drinks that would make us not remember the cruise! It was everything else that the pkg includes.

A speciality coffee each on the balcony while the wifester is putting on her face, $5 ea.

Evian or San Pellegrino with fresh squeezed juice with that second coffee at breakfast, $15 ea.

Grab a bottle water on the way to stake out a deck chair, $4 ea.

$24 each before any mind altering liquid is consumed.

A beer or the drink of the day by the pool, $6 ea

Then off to lunch, maybe a soda, or another San Pellegrino $5 ea

The sun is hot hot hot! A cold beer or drink of the day is in order, $6 ea

The burger at the Mast Grill is calling our names, it does not go down with out some liquid assistance, $5 ea, then it is time to meet friends to watch the sun set from the Sunset Bar, $6 ea. Afternoon total $28.

And the evening fun has yet to begin.

San Pellegrino and a couple of glasses of wine with dinner, and another speciality coffee with desert, $26 ea

Now it is time for some mind altering sampling to happen, or not A cocktail with friends at one of the watering holes on ship $7 ea, or 2 if we are letting our hair down!

One more bottle water on the way back to the cabin just in case we get thirsty during the night, $4. Evening total, $44.

Morning, $24, day, $28, evening $44, total $96.00 each using the low end of the cost scale and not much mind altering substance.

Some evening's we will grab another coffee ( or worse) and go and sit on deck 5 to unwind, listen to the swoosh of the waves gently breaking down the side of the ship before heading to the cabin.

Depends on how you make use of the package.

We have upgraded to the Premium on our last 2 cruises. Our friends stayed with the Classic and were fine. I like the Craft beer selection, the wifester the better wines.

I say the package is worth it in the long run.

It looks expensive up front but its not really.

5/6 drinks is the break even point per day.

Remember,it covers drinking ALL DAY LONG

buy before the price goes up on Monday

The price increase was on the 1st, but the Co gave everyone the chance to upgrade at the old price till the 20th. Anything 'bought' now will be at the $6 increase.

Oh.. so the Classic package used to be $44 and now $49 huh?

I hear its going up to $55 on the 20th

We sailed for many years without any type of drink package and never spent anywhere close to $50/day pp. We can live with whatever is supplied by the cruise line and fill in with buying buckets of beer, happy hour specials, taking on a few bottle of our own wine, and drinks that are handed out for free during some events, wine packages, drink seminars and etc.

We also drank on shore having fun at the various venues and tours.

When we got the drink pack as a promo it would be easy to justify having the pack because we drank more than we normally would and that included many bottles of water and the coffee drinks from the coffee shop instead of the free coffee or room service. We also didn't drink on shore as it would be a waste because we could get them for free on board. One thing we did notice was we drank more the first few days and then really tapered off towards the end.

I wouldn't pay for a drink pack but will take it as a perk.

drink up 🍹🍸🍷🍺🍻

Tap water is available at all bars and restaurants for free. Bottle water has a charge. Brewed coffee and regular tea are free in all restaurants. Fancy coffees like a latte and any drinks from the coffee bar Cafe a Bacio are not free. Breakfast also has things like milk and juice for free

So I'm assuming with the Classic Package specialty coffee at Bacio is covered??

Yes the specialty coffees are included with the package. A lot of people mentioned the Aspen coffee on here so I had to try it when we where on the Solstice in March. It was delicious.

Hi there, does anyone know if you can buy a bottle of baileys at the bar or..... for use in your cabin, son in law likes baileys in morning coffee and may not have a drinks package !!!

Quick answer is no. You might be able to order a bottle to the room but the cost is usually rather high!

This is a three-year old thread. Thus it would have been better if you had started your own thread to ask your question :)
