SharkByte Posted April 19, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2015 Anyone have 1st hand knowledge of the luggage capacity in a current year Mustang Convertible? We're flying in to FL then driving down to KW a few days before our cruise from Port Everglades. Wanting to work on our much needed tans on the way. We will have 1 Large, 1 Medium and 1 carry on. cb at sea Posted April 19, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 19, 2015 That small amount of luggage should be no problem at all!
SuiteTraveler Posted April 19, 2015 #4 Share Posted April 19, 2015 You get: 11.4 cubic feet according to the specs or room enough for 2 large golf bags. It's not big, but there is also the back seat which folds down to accommodate longer items. As long as it is just the 2 of you, I believe you can make 1 large case (in backseat), 1 medium case and 2 carry ons in the trunk work.) Otherwise, I'd suggest you do 2 medium cases and 2 carry ons. If you want to try this with more than 2 people, I'd suggest you all carry duffle bags and expect to squish things in.

Would you rather do it in a Ford Fusion (lots of room) or a Mustang convertible, (bit of a squeeze)? Heck, I'd rent a convertible Smart car and make the DW sit on the luggage.:D;) You only live once - you can divorce lots of times.;):p:D
SadieN Posted April 19, 2015 #6 Share Posted April 19, 2015 At worst, take your suitcases to a ford dealership and see if they fit. Know people who've done this with animal cages.
SharkByte Posted April 20, 2015 Author #7 Share Posted April 20, 2015 Thanks for all the replies. Just the two of us, Worst come, I figure two of the three will fit in the trunk fine and one in the back seat for sure.
