On board credit gifts

My future wife and I will be celebrating our honeymoon on the TP next week..one week to go until the wedding:eek: !

There are several people in our office that are planning or have already purchased us OBC for our cruise. My only concern is what happens at the end of the cruise when you have been given 2000.00 of OBC as gifts, but the bill at the end of the ship is only 1000.00. What happens with the balance of the OBC? Do they pay it out to you or will that balance carry over to another cruise?

I don't think it will be an issue, considering on our last cruise, after 12 days in the Med, our bill at the end of the cruise was $3500.00:eek:   !!! No regrets since we had an incredible time but maybe I shouldn't gamble as much on this one:).

Your advise is greatly appreciated.

Worst case just use it in for casino chips then later convert the chips to cash. Or, better yet, just splurge and spend it all in the gift shop (perhaps a nice jewelry memento) or spend the day in the spa getting pampered all day. Another idea would be to get a really, really expensive bottle of wine or champagne that you would never ever buy on your own. You can also use it for tips.

Thanks for the info. These will be gifts purchased via Princess by our friends/family so I'm assuming we should get the credit back if not used.

Good ideas on trying to use up the extra--not that there will be any left--but who knows? I have already purchased the deluxe honeymoon package, so we will have some spa treatments already--but we may need more.

I'm so excited I can't stand it!

:D
