DentoAlaska Posted April 24, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2015 I have "gifted" myself money for shore excursions and OBC. When I go to the cruise personalizer these dollars do not seem to be reflected. Am I looking in the right place? Are these $ not reflected since they are classified as "gifts". I have gifted a substantial amount of money and am concerned because I don't see this money. Any advice on where to look to see where I can verify that this money is indeed there? Bookworm1971 Posted April 24, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2015 They don't show up on the personalizer. I printed our confirmation email and brought it with in case there was a problem. We bought a substantial amount of OBC and Casino credit and it was all accounted for without a problem.
jagsfan Posted April 24, 2015 #3 Share Posted April 24, 2015 Just make sure you get an email confirming your purchase, for your own peace of mind.

Since items from the Gifts & Services catalog could be gifts from family and friends, they do not show on your cruise personalizer. Request for an email confirmation, if you're purchasing for yourself. You'll receive cards/vouchers for your purchases, in your cabin.

Thrak Posted April 24, 2015 #7 Share Posted April 24, 2015 When I have "gifted" myself items - OBC, coffee card, etc - I always call Princess and ask them to send me an email confirmation that I take onboard with me. It's much easier to clear up a misunderstanding if you have the email confirmation. They are always pleasant and immediately send me email confirmation. Princess: 1-800-774-6237 Thanks for the suggestion. I called today and was told they would send me an email receipt for the "gifts". I talked to them this morning and am still waiting to receive the email. The plan is to call and make the request once again.
DentoAlaska Posted April 25, 2015 Author #9 Share Posted April 25, 2015 I called again and received my email receipt within minutes. I guess I just needed to get hold of the right representative. ;)
